Our Little Dilly is 3 Years Old Today

As I lay here in bed sick (with a miserable case of either the seasonal or h1n1 flu), our little boy has had a fun run for his 3rd Birthday. We had his party on Sunday and today he has done lots of special things to ring in his actual Birthday in true fashion.

Granny B and Grandma had to fly out this morning at o'dark thirty, and Grandad and Mima fly tomorrow, so after they dropped Cayden at school today, Grandad and Mima took him on a multitude of adventures including a few different parks, 4 trips to Wisconsin (they drove back and forth over the Stillwater lift bridge so he could see how it worked, followed by lunch at the Dairy Queen which allowed full view of the bridge. He ate his ice cream cone first and decided he was full. Even though he had pigs in a blanket for his choice of dinner for his party, he chose them again for tonight's dinner. So between hot dogs and ice cream I think he's had his fair share. :)

So all in all he has had a fantastic birthday even though his Mom has been in bed on quarantine since Sunday night. I love you Dylan. Happy 3rd Birthday Buddy!

Here are a few pictures of him with his monster truck cake (which was a collaborative effort, our first fondant, by Granny B, Grandma, Mima, and me).
