Roadblocks are the rule, not the exception

This is a small tidbit that came in a newsletter discussing “A Formula for Change”. I thought it was a good way of stating that there is often “never a good time” to do some things – but they should be done anyway. I think this has all kinds of applications all the way from being more organized, learning a new skill, or exercising more……to going back to grad school, taking a long vacation, or moving to a new house.

Plan Flexibly. It's tempting to wait until the holidays have passed or a stressful project is over to make changes, but any “optimal” time for change is short-lived, since Real Life always bursts onto the scene to make a mess. Roadblocks are the rule, not the exception. Successful plans accommodate an imperfect reality.
