Christmas Season

We had an awesome December - so much so we never got around to posting on the blog! We brought the boys to the Macy's holiday display for the first time. It was portraying a "Day in the life of an elf" and it was very entertaining! We all had fun. This is a picture of the boys watching the Christmas trees sing Christmas carols.

We also had the 12 days of Christmas (gifts) from Granny B and Grandpa Dan. The boys were excited every morning to come down and open their gift for the day. Some included cool auto toothbrushes, puzzles, new hats/gloves, new underwear, books, and their grand finale their Leapsters (which got plenty of use on the road trip). Here is a silly pic of them in their new hats.

On the 22nd we packed up and headed out to Wyoming for Christmas and New Year's. After getting stuck in South Dakota in an ice storm for about 8 hours (WY roads where closed) we finally made it out to the cabin. During this trip out we went into Yellowstone for 3 days. It was amazing to see it in the winter - so much snow and ice and so few people! Here we are at Kepler Cascades on the way to the Old Faithful Snow Lodge.

Here we are by the snowcoaches that we road into the park in.

It snowed 18 inches over the three days were were there which was awesome - a true winter wonderland. Jan stopped under a tree at West Thumb for quick pic.

Back at the cabin the boys could not get enough of riding the mini snowmobiles! They would ride them until their thumbs where too tired to push the throttle. Dylan is always aware of his fans and he stopped for a moment to acknowledge them in this picture.

Cayden loved it too but didn't really notice if anyone else was around...except for Dylan when he was trying to race him.

The boys had a great time playing with their cousins Paige (below) and Reece and loved seeing Uncle T.Jay and Aunt Tennyson. Here the three kids had placed out cookies for Santa and were all smiles hoping for a visit soon.

Another fun part about the trip for the boys was getting to see Nan!

Here we are in front of the Pinnacles. The boys liked the rides on the big snowmobiles too.

I got some time to ride up in the mountains and play too. Rick always knows where a good meadow is to play in and this time I had Lava mountain in the back ground and Jan with to get some good actions shots!
We had a fabulous time out there - Thank you Grandad and Mima for being such great hosts!
