Jan's away - the boys will play

Jan flew out to Denver yesterday to meet our new niece Paige Marie Gilpatrick and of course take some pictures. So that left the boys and me to have a boys weekend.

We didn't even come home after we dropped Jan off at the airport. We called the Bakke boys (who are also mom-less on Saturdays) and planned to meet at the Como Zoo. 4 hours later after zebras, bison, giraffes, fish, penguins, sea lions, tigers, lions, leopards (and others), a crazy lunch in the hot sun, rides at Como Town park, and a huge butterfly exhibit - all 6 boys were tired! :)

We got home had some quite time and went to a grill out down the street. After finishing off the night in Lukas and Landon's basement the boys crashed hard - and dad slept well too.

Just before bedtime Cayden was talking to mom and Granny B on the phone and in true Cayden fashion he ended upside down on the chair. He stayed there and talked for about 5 minutes so I had to take a picture.
