Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day - we had our traditional holiday pancakes for breakfast this morning!

Jan and I celebrated with a fabulous dinner at Pittsburg Blue with the Bakke's on Saturday followed up by a night of dancing to an 80s/90s cover band into the wee hours of the morning.

The whole weekend was busy really - we started out with Gnomeo and Juliet in 3D with the boys on Friday, followed by the carnival at Cayden's school. Saturday we spent a good 6 hours out on the ski hill which led us right up to dinner w/ the Bakke's. Sunday found the boys and Jan enjoying the weather by playing in the snow and water while I finished up a few slightly overdue honey-dos for Jan (4 years overdue). After the sun set we packed it in for an evening with the Grammy's.

Tonight we had an outstanding 5 course candlelight meal with the boys and my mom to finish off the holiday. It was the boy's first experience with a meal like that - Dylan made it through about 3.5 courses then he went off to play with his trucks while we waited for the main course. He did however make a cameo appearance for the chocolate dipped strawberries at the end. :) Cayden stuck it out at the table with us for the entire meal and even cleared our plates between courses (with the towel over his arm in true waiter style). It was a fun ending to a great weekend.
