Not out of the woods yet

Well, Bentley could still use some good vibes, thoughts, prayers, etc.

I called this morning to get an update and was expecting them to tell us what time to come and get him and the doctor told me that they had just finished drawing off a substantial (more than normal) amount of air and fluid through his chest tube (which is there to drain any air/fluid outside of his lungs post-surgery).

He didn't seem too overly concerned, but concerned enough to give me a little bit of doubt. He said "knowing what his lung tissue looked like when we closed him up (he said it was the worst he's seen) I would like to keep him for another night to monitor him and make sure that he doesn't continue to have air leakage".

I am trying to stay positive, but can feel myself starting to prepare for having to make the inevitable decision of saying goodbye (God Forbid!!). Pray Pray Pray...he's too young and full of life to go this soon.
