Insulation and Sheetrock

I really have to get to posting more often but I’m running around crazy and can’t get to the pc until really late – which always kills me the next morning. Since Wednesday they got all the insulation in and signed off by the inspector. They now have the back hall closet, hallway and half the vault sheet-rocked.

Wiley and I hooked up the doorbell today. I thought it was so cool that we can turn off the doorbell with a switch! Someone came and hung the shakes that we decided to add to the garage. It helps tie the addition into the rest of the house. I still think we need some sort of dividing board between the shake on the top half of the garage and the siding on the bottom.

All the rain this weekend washed away all the black dirt they added to my graded yard. :(

The painter (Dave Lorenz) wants to get started painting the outside this Wednesday!!! The weather doesn’t look good for painting though. Jan is in a scramble to pick out colors – we will stick with some earth tones I’m sure.
