Rest and Play!! (For us - not the contractors)

They had the framing inspection this morning at 7:30 and got the OK with a few minor adjustments! This afternoon they started putting up insulation. Adam came back to work on it – it was nice to have him running things – then I can trust they will get done well. Not that the other guys don’t get the job done right, I just like Adam’s work.

Since they had the insulation flying around the house, Rick, Jo and Jan came up with the idea of going to a hotel for the night. That way Jan and Cayden wouldn’t be breathing all that crud all day. We were going to just stay at a place in the Grove but it was almost twice as expensive as staying at the Grand Rios waterpark/hotel! So we stayed there instead! Check out the waterpark map! Cayden had an absolute blast! He loved the really big waterslide that he could ride down with dad on the tube. It was fast and dark, but he just kept saying, “I want to go again”. I feel much more revived having a fun, stress-free night with Cayden. Jan even got to sit in a lounge chair so she could watch. Good thing they had the lay down kind. I think it helps her to get out of the house occasionally.

They also graded the lawn today. There is still a big pile of debris in the yard but they are finishing tomorrow. It actually looks more like a normal yard now – except it’s still all dirt. :)

They are working late tonight to get all of the insulation done so they can have it inspected tomorrow morning. Then they will start sheet-rocking. Scott said he hopes to have that almost done by the end of this week.

Scott’s crew makes Ty and the Extreme Makeover crew look like they are standing around wasting time.
