Walls Already!!!

Wow! Today they got all the walls up! It seems a little more real now. They tried to start putting up the roof but the scissor trusses where to flimsy to do by hand. Scott (the general contractor) dropped off a fork lift tonight so they can get them up tomorrow.

This weekend Wiley and I tore of the bottom 8 feet of siding so it would be ready for them to frame today. It went pretty fast but it was hot out. Here's Wiley knocking down the brick of the front:

And it's down:

Cayden was a big help picking up all the nails with the magnet:

It's nice to be able to stand in the new wing and see what our views will look like. Check out what it looks like so far:

Tonight Jan and I spent the evening cleaning out the kitchen and more of the living room. Apparently this is going faster then Scott thought so they could be inside framing in our laundry room/master bedroom & bath as early as this week. I meet w/ Scott tomorrow night to find out what destruction needs to be done inside and by when. All you people how offered to help - I may need it this week! :) Call if you're bored (after tomorrow night).

Thanks for leaving comments - we enjoy reading them. It lets me know I'm not doing this for nothing - someone is actually reading this!!

Off to bed for tonight - later.

Everything looks awesome! This is the first project I've heard of that is actually going faster than expected!
