Well - today is the day that Jan and the boys get to head out to Wyoming for a week. It's great that they will get to spend more time with family. Something they definitely haven't taken advantage of since Jan left the corporate world. I'll get the opportunity to get a lot of things done around the house - guilt free. I always have a hard time working on the house when I could be playing with the boys...they grow up soooooooo fast.
It will be sad too though - I'll really miss seeing the three of them waving in the window every morning I leave for work. And hearing "DADDY" followed by little footsteps rapidly approaching the back hall immediately after I walk in the door at night! And it will be tough not to be able to go into their bedrooms and tuck them in with a kiss right before I go to bed... and our big bed will seem so empty without Jan.
When they come home though they will have big stories about wild adventures to tell me about what they did and saw - even if they never leave the living room in Wyoming...
I can't wait until they are all home.....already :)

Oh Chris, you sound so sad. Shall I send Luci and Greta up to keep you company? Enjoy the guilt-free life once again... if only for a little while.
Thank you for sharing! We will have them home before you know it. Maybe we should hook up the webcam so you can spend some time at night with the kids before they go to bed. Mom is so excited to see and spend time with all three as are we. The opportunity won't be wasted and you will be sorely missed by all in Wyoming. You are an extra special husband and father! We love you Chris!

Chris,
Jan and the boys will be home before you know it. Take advantage of the time and get some of those things done that you've been wanting to check off your list. Besides that makes the time go faster and you'll feel so good about your accomplishments! Hang in there!
